about

Hi, I'm Frey!I'm a freelance digital illustrator from the Netherlands. I've been drawing casually since I was little, but only got into digital art in the last couple years. My favorite subjects to draw are my own characters and fanart, though I also take commissions!I love to work on merchandise and illustrations of my main interests, such as anime and videogames, specifically fighting games. I tabled at my first event in 2024 and sold stickers, keychains and prints with my own designs. It was some of the most fun I've ever had at a convention, so I'd like to keep it going and attend as many cons as I can!

Usually there'll be a form to apply through. You can always send an e-mail if you have questions, though!

You can find the pricing options for my commissions below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!The deadline for this window is longer than usual, because I'm still busy and recovering from an arm injury. This deadline will be 3 months. As usual though, I'll give updates every 2 weeks, even when no progress has been made.form: -

options & pricing

You can find the pricing options for my commissions below.

quick overview

option A: standard commissions!

I'm sure I don't have to explain this one- Send me your request, and we'll see if I decide to take it and draw it!

option B: sponsor-a-drawing!

For a minimum of €50, you get to suggest a character from popular media, or one of my own OCs!
You can find a list of subjects I have a particular interest in HERE!
This is how it works:

  • Choose a character! It can be from any franchise, but I'll gravitate more to things I'm personally interested in, of course. (Hint: fighting games, Final Fantasy, etc)
If you're curious what kind of stuff I'd be into, check here for a full list!

  • You CAN suggest an idea, or leave it blank if you want me to come up with something. Regardless, we'll discuss it after I take the commission.

  • Bust up/thigh up/full body, anything goes. All I ask is that you limit it to a one or two characters. (Preferably one)

  • NSFW is allowed on a case by case basis! This can be discussed as I take the commission.

  • While it'll be a collaborative process in which we'll discuss ideas together, I retain the full rights and ownership of the piece. For example, I could turn it into a print and sell it. After all, it's not a regular commission, it's a sponsorship.

  • I'll ask you to tell me the amount of € you'd like to sponsor in the form. You're completely free to stick to the minimum of 50, but higher amounts will of course provide extra motivation for me to pick your request. That said, this is NOT an auction. In the end, I'll always gravitate towards the character or idea I'm most interested in. The money is mostly an incentive to raise some extra cash to deal with my current financial situation.

  • Detail charge: Applies to characters with intricate details like scales. TBD during commission process.

  • Commercial use: No set price. If you would like to license your commission for commercial use, this can be discussed during the commission process.

terms of service

By sending in a commission form, you agree to my terms of service. You can find those here.

terms of service

By sending in your commission request, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. General

  • I will not draw in another artist's style.

  • I have every right to refuse or cancel a commission for whatever reason.

  • In case of a cancellation on my end, the client will get their money back.

  • You are allowed to order multiple requests at once, but please be considerate of other commissioners.

  • I only accept payment upfront, either via PayPal invoice or Ko-fi.

  • Payment is in EUR.

  • Commissions, from start to finish, are done digitally. I do not take traditional commissions.

  • You will receive a .png-file at 300dpi. If you would like a different format, please clarify beforehand.

  • Descriptions alone are not accepted as character reference. At the very least, include a reference image of a similar character and/or clothes.

  • If you are using screenshots from a videogame for reference, please make sure they are well-lit, and include close-ups of details that aren't easily visible.

  • Descriptions are fine for the commission idea and pose, but it is preferred if you can provide me with a visual reference image.

  • I don't accept video reference. Please provide an image file.

2. Process

Once a commission request has been submitted;

  • I will contact you some time after receiving your request if I choose to accept your proposed commission.

  • Keep an eye on my social media. When all commission slots have been picked, I will post a tweet. If you have not received a private message or e-mail from me at that time, you did not receive a slot.

  • This goes for both first-come-first-serve, as well as when I am choosing the commission requests.

  • After your commission idea has been accepted, you can't make any more major changes to the idea. Major changes may refer to changing the amount of characters, changing the character, changing the outfit and pose, etc. Minor changes, however, are still fine, as explained in section 2a.

  • We will discuss the details of your request, and I will ask any questions I may have pertaining to your request.

  • After confirming the details, I will send you the invoice. I will not start working until payment has been received.

  • I usually work on commissions in order of workload. A commission usually takes around 2 weeks from start to completion. I try not to take longer than a month, and 2 months is the absolute deadline.

  • Please be patient, and do not rush me.

2a. Revision policy

  • Up to three revisions are allowed during the sketch process.

  • A revision is only allowed within the confines of the original commission idea. If you change your mind and end up wanting a different pose and character, for example, that is not a revision. That is a major change.

  • Additional revisions will cost 50% of the base commission price.

  • After the sketch has been finished, no more changes or revisions can be made.

3. Extra costs, cancellation and refunds

  • Extra costs will apply if the commission has complex design/ornate detailing. (For example, FFXIV Au Ra scales.)

  • These extra costs depend on the commission request workload.

  • You may cancel your commission for any reason within 48 hours after paying the invoice, provided the commission is still in the sketch phase.

  • You are entitled to an 75% partial refund upon cancellation, as long as the commission is still in the sketch phase.

  • You will no longer be eligible for a refund if the sketch has been finished, or 48 hours have passed.

4. Rights

All commissions are for personal/non-commercial use, by default. Below are your rights to the commissioned artwork.

  • You may re-upload your commission on any website(s), social media and/or online gallery as long as you credit me as the artist and link back.

  • You can give your commissioned artwork to anyone but you cannot sell it to them.

  • You may use the artwork for non-commercial use (profile pictures, banners, etc).

4a. Distribution

  • You may not use the artwork for commercial use without my permission.

  • Commercial use includes prints or posters for sale, merchandise, advertisements, twitch emotes etc.

  • If you would like to use your commissioned artwork for commercial use, please contact me and we can work on a quote.

4b. Alteration

  • You are not allowed to edit, trace, or alter the commission. Cropping the image for a banner or an icon is okay.

  • Do not remove my name/watermark/signature.

  • Do not change or adjust the commissioned work(s) through the use of machine learning or derived technologies, or create derivatives of the commissioned works through the use of machine learning or derived technologies.

4c. Sanctions

  • Should you use your commissioned artwork for commercial use without prior discussion with me or permission, I will consider this an automatic purchase of the exclusive rights for commercial use, and will charge you for this as well as a penalty fee for breaking terms of service. The penalty fee will be decided on a case by case basis.

  • Should you breach any of the terms listed under subsection 4b, without prior discussion with me or permission, I will consider this an automatic purchase of the exclusive rights for commercial use, and will charge you for this as well as a penalty fee for breaking terms of service. The penalty fee will be decided on a case by case basis.
